My Tradition

We Muslims have two ”Eids” (festivals) which we celebrate every year and the month of Ramaden which involves a month of fasting, so you must not eat from sunrise to sun fall. In that month, we cook delicious food and sweets that you eat every day. The first ”Eid” is celebrated after Ramaden and it lasts three days. We celebrate it by buying new clothes and getting money from parents. On the first day, we bake the special cakes for ”Eid”, and visit our cousins and relatives. The other ”Eid” celebrations lasts four days when Muslims travel to Mecca, a city in Saudi Arabia, and it is a pilgrimage which takes seven rounds around the ”Kaaba” a sacred building. Many Muslims will go to Mecca at least once in their life.
